MISTER JANUARY: Jorgen Koolwijk
Who are my friends?
251 online friends vent their worries day and night through social media like Facebook and Twitter. You seem to know everything about them, but does this means you really know them? What are our digital images worth?
Graphic designer Jorgen Koolwijk (1974) set out to find the people behind his online friendships. Phasebook is an analog reaction to the malleability of digital life. Sixty online friends look back and ahead at their lives. In their own way they give answers to questions like: Who were you back then? Have you changed? What happened in the meantime?
The search is not only a remarkable collection of portraits and handwritten texts. It also gives a glimpse into the world of this generation, their dreams and dilemmas.
