We think by train is the best way to get to the Mary K Hotel. Make sure you take the Intercity instead of the Sprinter. The Sprinter sounds fast but in reality is very slow! Utrecht Central Station is at walking distance from the hotel and it’s also a more sustainable way of traveling than by car. Click here for the railway journey planner.
Once you arrive at the Central Station this is the best way to walk to the Mary K Hotel:
Walk towards exit ‘Centrum’. (This is toward the lower platform numbers). Once you exit the check-out gates you turn left towards ‘Centrum’. Once you get outside go right straight away to enter the shoppingmall ‘Hoog Catharijne’. Then follow the signs towards ‘Vredenburgplein’. Once you get outside the Vredenburg square, go down one of the little streets towards the Oudegracht and go left at the Oudegracht until you get to number 25, the Mary K Hotel.
The Mary K Hotel does not have private parking. Close to the hotel different parking options are possible.
- You can park in a public parking garage Paardenveld at a 5 minute walk of the hotel. ( €28 per 24 hours).
- You can park in the streets in ‘de vogelenbuurt’, this is the area between the two canals in the top left corner on the map below. Rates are €24,40 for a dayticket, Monday until Saturday between 09.00-23.00. And free parking on Sunday.
- The cheapest option is P+R parking. You park just outside the city for €5,00 per day and this includes public transport to your destination in the city centre. Which P+R is most convenient for your route can be found here:http://www.slimutrechtin.nl
If you would like to drop off your luggage at the hotel before you park your car, you can store it safely at our reception.
By taxi from schiphol
If you would like to take a taxi from Schiphol Airport we advise you to pre-order your cab to save some money and have better service. We recommend Utrecht Taxi Central Utrecht were you have a good and fixed price. So no running meter and good service. This is their website: Utrecht Taxi Central Utrecht
This is how it works when you arrive at Schiphol Airport:
If you have ordered a taxi for your onward journey following your arrival at Schiphol, please report to the Schiphol Transfer Assistance (STA) desk. The staff there will bring you – and any fellow travellers – into contact with the (waiting) taxi driver of the taxi company responsible for taking you on your onward journey.
The STA desk is located at Schiphol Plaza and is open 24 hours a day. You cannot book any taxi rides at the STA desk.
If you decide to order a taxi last minute we advice you first to call UTC Utrecht to order a cab, otherwise you will drive with a running meter which is a lot more expensive.
